The Poly RealPresence Group 500 is ideal for medium to large meeting rooms. Setup and configuration are easy, and the compact and sleek design allows the device to be positioned out of sight. Poly’s Group 500 is equipped with a second video output as a standard so that other participants can be displayed on once screen and the content on a second display or beamer. Furthermore, a multipoint conference bridge (MCU) for video conferences with up to 6 remote stations is integrated into the system. This can be activated via an optional license key.
The Group 500 can be upgraded with the Poly EagleEye Director II. Poly’s Director II is equipped with two Poly EagleEye IV cameras with 12x zoom and seven built-in microphones. These provide an automatic and seamless transition between the real-time recording of the active speaker or group. This allows participants to focus on just their meeting and eliminates the need for participants to manually control the camera. This is done via an automated pan, tilt, and zoom. Once a speaker has been located in the room, the EagleEye Director II Camera Tracker uses its face recognition algorithm to determine whether the user is talking to other people in the room. The camera automatically zooms in and places the speaker in the optimal framing. With the Director II’s two cameras you can simultaneously display (picture-in-picture) the entire room and the active speaker.
